Traditionally Indian homes were well acquainted with home remedies for primary health conditions like cuts, wounds, indigestion, toothache, cold cough, non specific fever, anti natal & post natal care, therapeutic diets and so on..This book is the first of a series that is planned to revitalize community based health care.

Communities in India have rich experience in managing healthcare for centuries in the longest surviving and evolving health tradition in the world. The households are repository of region specific, self help health practices based on the use of ecosystem specific natural resources. However, such simple, community based knowledge systems have been overlooked and were neglected when the country embraced the western model of public health

This book contains general methods of preparation of various dosage forms for different primary health conditions. A few examples of the dosage forms are illustrated with ingredients, specific methods pf preparations, indications and dosages.
